Directions to the Reunion:
To get to the park, take I-81 to Exit 47. Go left into town. Follow signs to McDonalds. Turn right at the light. Follow Route 16 to the park. Tell the gate attendant that you are with the Copenhaver reunion and he or she can direct you to shelter 2. Overnight Rooms: Regardless of where you decide to stay, we suggest that you make your reservations now! We have a block of 15 rooms set aside at the the Comfort Inn, 5558 Lee Hwy, Atkins, VA, (telephone: 276-783-2144). The cost is $69.99 per night, plus tax. All rooms have a micro-fridge and a continental breakfast buffet is included. When reserving a room at the Comfort Inn, just mention it is for the Copenhaver reunion and request to hold a room at the above listed rate. These rooms/rate are available until June 30, 2011. After June 30, 2011, any rooms left will be returned to the hotel inventory. Also, some folks have stayed at the cabins or campground at Hungry Mother State Park.
